Kandahar: Hopes for peace on the Afghanistan-     (Afghanistan )   Pakistan border have once again been dashed. Following the failure of peace talks in Kabul, Pakistan launched another attack on Afghanistan on Thursday, causing panic in the area. People could be seen fleeing in the Afghan border area after the Pakistani attack. Smoke was seen rising from several locations after the attack.

Pakistan breaks ceasefire
Seeing the failure of peace talks, Pakistani forces have broken the ceasefire. Pakistani forces opened indiscriminate fire on Afghan Taliban border guards in Luqman village, Spin Boldak district, Kandahar province, followed by mortar attacks. According to Tolo News, the Pakistani side targeted a civilian house in the area, causing panic among local residents. This incident occurred when the recent ceasefire agreement between the two countries was shattered. The incident began around 6 a.m. on Thursday and intensified as the evening approached.

Afghanistan said Pakistan was firing without provocation.
Afghan Taliban spokesman Jabarullah Mujahid said Pakistani troops opened fire on Afghan border guards without provocation. “Our forces retaliated, but our priority is the safety of civilians,” Mujahid said. Following the initial exchange of fire, Pakistan fired mortars, which landed on a house in Luqman village. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but the house suffered extensive damage. Local resident Abdullah Khan said by phone, “We were going about our daily lives when suddenly gunfire erupted. The children hid in fear.” What does this ceasefire mean?

Pakistan attacks for the third time

This is the third time in the past two months that Pakistan has shown such aggression on the Afghan border. Critics say Pakistan is retaliating for allegations of harboring groups like the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Afghanistan.
