10 lakh rupees came out of water pipe in engineer’s house

Bangalore. The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Karnataka raided the house of an engineer of the Public Works Department and a large amount of 500 rupees notes were removed from the pipe here. This amount is said to be around Rs.10 lakh. At the same time, Rs 6 lakh has been recovered from the ceiling. As part of the state-wide crackdown on government officials accused of corruption, raids were conducted at the residence of PWD Joint Engineer Shantha Gowda Biradar in Kalaburagi district, officials said. During the raids at the residence of the Biradar, the officials of the Bureau have recovered Rs 40 lakh in cash and a huge amount of gold.

The officials were told by the sources that cash has been hidden in the pipeline of this residence. In such a situation, the officials called a plumber, who opened the pipeline and took out the notes hidden inside it. A video of this incident has also been made, in which officials and plumbers can be seen separating some parts of the pipe. From these pipes again the notes were taken out. Obviously, these were made to show off the pipes, in fact it was a way to hide unaccounted money.

The raids were only part of the state-wide action that the Anti-Corruption Bureau has conducted across the state. During this, the Bureau raided 60 places against 15 officers in the disproportionate assets case. The bureau had also recently raided the office of the Bangalore Development Authority.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that the state government would take action on the basis of the report submitted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Recently, in response to a question, the Chief Minister had said that the state government would not tolerate corruption in any form. Our government will take strict action and the question of saving those found guilty of corruption does not arise.
