Dehradun -: (01 August, 2025) -: Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan held a meeting with the officials of the Health Department regarding the strengthening of the hospitals of the state in the Secretariat on Friday. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to saturate all the district and sub-district hospitals of the state with essential facilities. The Chief Secretary said that doctors, surgeons, gynecologists, orthopedists and radiologists along with pediatricians should be made available in the district and sub-district hospitals. He said that essential facilities like NICU, SNCU and PICU should be made available in the district and sub-district hospitals.
The Chief Secretary said that such CHCs across the state, which have a large number of patients or are extremely important for health services in remote areas of the state, should also be saturated with minimum essential medical facilities like physician, surgeon, gynecologist, orthopedist and pediatrician. Along with this, availability of radiologist and technician should also be ensured.
Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar presented detailed information on the availability of doctors, specialist doctors, radiologists and equipment in the district and sub-district hospitals of the state. He said that continuous efforts are being made to improve health facilities. Director General of Health Dr. Sunita Tamta and Director of Medical Education Dr. Ashutosh Sayana were also present on this occasion.
