Zagreb: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Croatia (Croatia) on Wednesday in the last leg of his three-nation visit. Here in Zagreb, PM Modi was given a grand welcome with music and cultural programmes. A group of Croatian citizens welcomed PM Modi with Sanskrit chants. People of the Indian community also welcomed PM Modi with slogans of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata ki Jai. PM Modi and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic held delegation-level talks. India and Croatia discussed several important issues to promote bilateral relations.

The welcome of PM Modi in Zagreb, Croatia has demonstrated the strong cultural ties between the two countries. PM Modi has also shared the video of this moment on social media. In the video, a group of Croatian citizens dressed in white clothes are chanting several Sanskrit mantras to welcome PM Modi. Sharing this video, PM Modi wrote – “The bonds of culture are strong and vibrant! It is a pleasure to see that Indian culture gets so much respect in Croatia.” Let us tell you that PM Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Croatia.

In Croatia, Prime Minister Modi has said that democracy, rule of law, pluralism and equality are the shared values that connect us. PM Modi has informed that India and Croatia have decided to speed up their bilateral relations three times. Prime Minister Modi has informed that a plan will be made to increase defense cooperation between India and Croatia.

He said that his meeting with PM Modi reflects the importance and strength of relations between India and Croatia.
