New Delhi: President Draupadi (President Draupad) Murmu approved the Waqf (Amendment) Bill on Saturday. With this, this bill has now turned into law. Let us tell you that this bill was passed in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha this week. Regarding this bill, the government has claimed that it will help a lot in improving the condition of poor and Pasmanda Muslims and women of this community in the country. This bill was passed in the Lok Sabha late on Wednesday night while it was passed in the Rajya Sabha late on Thursday night. With this, Parliament approved the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025 and Muslim Waqf (Repeal) Bill, 2024.
Announcement of Muslim Personal Law Board
On the other hand, the All India Muslim Law Personal Board has made a big announcement against the Waqf Amendment Bill. The board says that it will run a nationwide movement against this bill from next week. For this, the fight will be fought from the court to the streets. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board said, ‘It will fight both the legal battle and the battle on the streets regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. For this, a nationwide campaign will be run from next week. Protests will be held at the district level and memorandums will be sent to the Home Minister and the President.’
The campaign will be run across the country
The board said, this campaign will be run under the name ‘Save Waqf, Save the Constitution’. Under this, big demonstrations will be held in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Vijayawada, Mallapuram, Patna, Ranchi, Malerkotla and Lucknow. It will be started with the program at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi. The program of its first phase will be held till Bakra Eid. The board has appealed to the youth to participate in this demonstration in maximum numbers and demonstrate peacefully.
