Pakistani Hindus given long term visa  (Hindus )

Delhi: The Government of India has decided to suspend all visa services for Pakistani citizens with immediate effect after the proposal of the Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs (CCS). Under this decision, all existing valid Indian visas issued to Pakistani citizens will be canceled from April 27. This step has been taken in view of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people lost their lives. The government is taking strict diplomatic and security measures in response to this incident. However, this rule of the Government of India regarding visa will not apply to those Pakistani citizens who are Pakistani Hindus  (Hindus ) and who have been given long term visa, through which they are living in India. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on Thursday, “In continuation of the decisions taken by the Cabinet Committee on Security in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, the Government of India has decided to suspend visa services to Pakistani nationals with immediate effect. All existing valid visas issued by India to Pakistani nationals will stand cancelled with effect from 27 April 2025.

Indian nationals advised to avoid travel to Pakistan
The Ministry of External Affairs also urged Indian nationals to avoid travel to Pakistan in view of the current situation. The Ministry of External Affairs informed, “Medical visas issued to Pakistani nationals will be valid only till 29 April 2025. All Pakistani nationals currently present in India should leave India before the expiry of the revised visas. Indian nationals are strongly advised to avoid travel to Pakistan. Indian nationals currently present in Pakistan are also advised to return to India as soon as possible.”

Pahalgam terror attack
The Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 killed 26 people, mostly tourists, and injured more than a dozen people. It has been one of the biggest terror attacks since the repeal of Article 370 in 2019. However, the government has not yet officially confirmed the number of casualties in the terror attack in Pahalgam. After the terror attack, security forces have launched a search operation to nab the terrorists responsible. Security has been beefed up in Jammu and Kashmir since the attack. Pictures from Jammu and Kashmir show the streets of the usually bustling tourist area deserted. After the attack, many organizations have also called for a Jammu bandh.
