Indian Railways: Indian Railways is making every possible effort to provide better facilities to the passengers. Railways is making a big plan to control the passengers traveling with waiting tickets in trains. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared many important information in response to questions related to railways in Parliament. The Railway Minister said that keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers (passengers ) in trains, tickets will be issued according to the seats. Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Railways is trying to issue tickets as many as the seats available in the trains. So that, passengers traveling with confirmed seats in the train do not face inconvenience due to passengers with waiting tickets.
460 km of new tunnels built during the tenure of Modi government
Along with this, the Railway Minister also gave information about many big and important achievements of the Railways. Ashwini Vaishnav said that after independence till 2014, India’s rail network had a total of 125 km of tunnels, while from 2014 till today, 460 km of new tunnels have been built. He said that today the Indian Railways fleet has 56 thousand general and sleeper coaches while the number of AC coaches is 23 thousand. The Railway Minister said that historic work has been done in the Kolkata Metro Rail Project. It started in the year 1972 and till 2014 i.e. in 42 years, a total of 28 km of work was done. Whereas after the Modi government came to power at the Centre in the year 2014, 38 km of work has been done in the Kolkata Metro in 10 years.
Railway’s special focus on safety
Ashwini Vaishnav told in the Lok Sabha that there is a lot of focus on railway safety. Many technical changes have been made. Indian Railways is constantly being improved by taking many big steps like longer rail, electronic interlocking, fog safety device. He said that India has become a big exporter of railways. Apart from exporting metro coaches to Australia, our country is exporting rail coaches to the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and France and operational equipment to Mexico, Spain, Germany, Italy. He said that soon Bihar’s locomotive and wheels made in Tamil Nadu will run around the world.
