Astronaut Sunita Williams and others(Sunita )

Washington: Indian-origin American astronauts Sunita (Sunita )   Williams and Butch Wilmore have returned to Earth on Wednesday after 9 months. All the astronauts have made a successful landing on Earth. The entire team is being medically examined. NASA has called the entire mission a success in a press conference. NASA said that everything went according to plan and all the astronauts are completely safe.

Immediate medical assistance: After landing on the Florida coast, Sunita Williams and her fellow astronauts will be taken out of the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule and placed on a stretcher for an initial medical examination. This standard procedure is done due to the physical challenges faced by astronauts after prolonged exposure to microgravity.

Will be transferred to Johnson Space Center: The astronauts will be sent to their crew quarters at the space agency’s Johnson Space Center in Houston for several days of health checks, as is routine for returning astronauts. After this, NASA’s flight surgeons may clear them to go home to their families.

Post-mission debriefing: Astronauts can attend a debriefing to discuss their experiences, challenges and successes during the mission.

Meeting with family

After her long mission, Sunita Williams may be allowed to meet her family and friends. Let us tell you that the absence of gravity affects long-term astronauts, who experience dizziness, nausea and unsteady gait upon returning to Earth.

Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore may have this problem

In a note on changes in the body in space, the Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine quoted that once the astronaut returns to Earth, he is immediately forced to adjust to Earth’s gravity again. He may have problems standing, fixing his gaze, walking and turning. Astronauts returning to Earth are often seated in a chair immediately after returning to Earth.

Astronauts take several weeks to re-adapt themselves to life on Earth. According to NASA, every month in space, if astronauts do not take precautions to overcome this deficiency, their weight-bearing bones become about one percent less dense.

Prayers at Dola Mata Temple in Jhulasan

On the other hand, prayers are being offered at the Dola Mata Temple in Jhulasan, the native village of NASA astronaut Sunita Williams in Mehsana, Gujarat, for her safe return to Earth. NASA astronaut Sunita Williams and other astronauts are returning to Earth after being stranded in the International Space Station for more than nine months.
