Superintendent of Police Crime/Traffic Jitendra Mehra reached IIT Roorkee, Haridwar for cyber awareness.

In view of the increasing threat of cyber crimes, a special cyber awareness program was organized at IIT Roorkee by Superintendent of Police Crime/Traffic Jitendra Mehra.
About 100 students attended this program and gained important knowledge related to cyber security. Students were given detailed information about online fraud, phishing, data leak, password protection, and measures to stay safe on social media.
While talking to the students, he said, “Today is a digital age, but in the digital world, caution is the biggest security cover.” He said that cyber criminals are targeting the youth with new tricks, in such a situation it is very important for every citizen to be aware.
During the programme, students also asked their questions, which were answered by the police officers on the spot.
On this occasion, the IIT administration also appreciated this initiative of Haridwar Police and expressed its desire to organize more such programs in future.
