New Delhi/NASA: Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla has become the 634th astronaut to travel to space. He entered the International Space Station (ISS) on Thursday after a 28-hour journey.   ( journey )   Shukla and three other astronauts were formally welcomed by the members of Expedition 73 at the space station with a warm hug and handshake. Axiom Mission Commander Peggy Whitson presented astronaut ‘pins’ to Shukla, Polish astronaut Slavoj Ujnanski-Wisniewski and Hungary’s Tibor Kapu, who made their first trip to space.

Shubhanshu Shukla sent his first message in Hindi from the ISS after completing a 28-hour space journey and successful docking. He said- this is a special moment for India and I am carrying our tricolour. During this, he said that the head has become heavy, but we will get used to it. In a brief comment at the formal welcome ceremony at the space station, Shukla said, “I am the 634th astronaut. It is a matter of good fortune for me to come here.” He said, “With your love and blessings, I have reached the International Space Station. It seems easy to stand here, but my head is a little heavy, there is some difficulty; but these are minor things.” He said, “We will get used to it. This is the first step of this journey.” In the end, he proclaimed “Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.” Will travel in space for 14 days Shukla said that in the next 14 days, he and other astronauts will do scientific experiments and talk to people on Earth. He said, “This is also a phase of India’s space journey. I will keep talking to you. Let us make this journey exciting. I have brought the tricolour with me and I am taking all of you with me. The next 14 days will be exciting. Shukla said that the journey to the space station was wonderful and spectacular and he is overwhelmed by the welcome given by the crew of the orbital laboratory.

Expressed happiness on reaching space

He said, “The moment I entered the International Space Station and met this crew, you made me feel so honored, as if you had really opened the doors of your house for us.” Shukla said, “It was fantastic. Now I am feeling even better. Whatever expectations I had from coming here, they are far beyond the scene. So thank you very much. I am confident that the next 14 days are going to be amazing, will take science and research forward, and will work together.”
