A delegation of leftist parties met the victim families

Ayodhya. A delegation of leftist parties on Monday met and talked to the affected families about the incident of demolition of the old vegetable market located in Chowk using bulldozers without any prior notice to the families living there for generations.
The victim families living in the open told the delegation that our houses were razed to the ground by the administration without any prior notice. They were not even given a chance to take out the belongings kept in the house. The victim families are engaged in labour work, after the collapse of the house they are forced to live under the open sky and the top officials of the district are not ready to listen to their pain. CPI District Secretary Ashok Kumar Tiwari, CPI (M) District Secretary Ashok Yadav and CPI (ML) District Incharge Atiq Ahmed, who were leading the delegation, condemned this dictatorial and insensitive action of the administration and said that displacing someone without making arrangements for rehabilitation is against the concept of justice. Yogi’s bulldozer rule is displacing the poor from their homes. The Supreme Court had reprimanded the government for such actions and said that no one can be displaced without rehabilitation and proper compensation, but the Yogi government is making a mockery of the Constitution and democracy through its bulldozer justice. The people of the administration are behaving like enemies instead of listening to the victims and doing justice. The delegation has demanded to provide adequate compensation and arrangements for houses and shops under rehabilitation of displaced families and to stop such activities. The delegation included CPI assistant district secretary Shailendra Pratap Singh, CPI leader Suryakant Pandey, trade union leader Kashi Ram Yadav, CPI leader Mayaram Verma, CPI leader Omprakash Yadav etc.
