Brokers are also active in the blood bank of the district hospital

Ayodhya. A case that shames humanity has come to light in the blood bank of the district hospital. Brokers have made the provision of blood a means of earning money. When a pregnant woman from Rudauli area needed blood, a broker charged seven thousand rupees online from her attendant and got her the blood. On receiving the complaint, CMO Dr. Sushil Kumar Baniyan reached the spot and investigated and warned of strict action.

Pregnant woman Reena was referred to the District Women’s Hospital from Khairanpur CHC in a condition of severe anemia. When the caretaker Arvind Kumar reached the blood bank, he was refused saying that there was no donor. Meanwhile, a young man was found near the blood bank who offered to provide blood for seven thousand rupees. The caretaker made the online payment, and after half an hour the blood was given.

The CMO said that this service is completely free for JSY beneficiaries, even the testing fee is not charged. The person who took the money has been identified as Gautam Kumar, whose picture has also reached the health department. He said that strict action will be taken in this case. The blood bank located in the district hospital has faced such allegations earlier as well. In the district hospital, brokers deal in blood for 5 to 8 thousand rupees. Two years ago, a case of a person suffering from a serious disease like syphilis donating blood six times in two months has also come to light.
