There are six Naxalite-affected villages, where the tricolor flag will be hoisted for the first time ( first time ) after 75 years of independence. Sukma and Bijapur are among the seven districts within the Bastar division, which have been facing the threat of Naxal extremism for the last three decades.
During the conversation, Sundarraj P, Inspector General of Police, Bastar Division, said, ‘On Tuesday, the tricolor will be hoisted in Chinnagelur, Timenar, Hiroli in Bijapur district and Bedre, Dubbamarka and Tondamarka villages in Sukma district, where such an event has not been seen since independence. .” Along with this, he also informed that for the first time Independence Day will be celebrated in Pidmel, Dubbakonta, Silger and Kunda villages of Sukma district. In these villages, for the first time this year, the tricolor flag was hoisted on Republic Day on 26 January.
