Moscow: The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on continuously for about 2.5 years. However, no result of this war has come out so far. Now in the midst of this war, Russian President Vladimir Putin has taken such a step which has created an uproar (uproar)  all over the world. Actually, Russia has made a big change in its nuclear policy. Putin has told on Wednesday that a nuclear-powered country supporting an attack by another country will be considered a participant in the invasion under the new version of Moscow’s nuclear doctrine. Let us tell you that till now many NATO countries including America were supplying weapons to Ukraine. However, the move to change Russia’s nuclear policy has increased the risk of direct confrontation between Russia and NATO.

Vladimir Putin has said that if any non-nuclear power attacks Russia with the support of a nuclear power, it will be seen as their joint attack on the Russian Federation. Let us tell you that even before this Putin had warned the US-led NATO alliance. Putin had said that allowing Ukraine to use weapons supplied by Western countries to attack Russia would mean that there is a war going on between Russia and NATO.

What was the nuclear doctrine till now?

Russia’s nuclear doctrine till now was that it could use nuclear bombs in response to the use of nuclear and other types of weapons against itself and its allies. However, the revised version explains the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons in more detail. It states that nuclear bombs can be used in the event of a massive air attack from aircraft, cruise missiles or drones.
