Lucknow: CNG-PNG has become expensive once again. CNG has increased by Rs 3 per kg and domestic gas PNG by Rs 2 per standard cubic meter (SCM). CNG and PNG have increased for the second time within 22 days. The increased rates will be applicable from 6 am on Saturday. Green Gas Limited has increased the prices of CNG in Lucknow, Unnao, Agra.

CNG in Lucknow and Unnao has gone up to 83.80 per kg as against 80.80 per kg till now. CNG will now be available at Rs 84.25 a kg in Ayodhya. At the same time, piped natural gas (PNG) coming to the kitchen of the house has increased by Rs 2 per SCM. In Lucknow, PNG will get Rs 47 SCM.

CNG-PNG prices have increased due to increase in the purchase price of natural gas. Praveen Singh, AGM (Marketing) of Green Gas says that the prices of natural gas have increased by about 110 percent. At the same time the supply has come down by 10 to 15 percent. There is also the impact of the Russo-Ukraine war. He points out that the sale of CNG and the consumption of PNG have increased. There has been an increase in sales due to the opening and consolidation of schools.

CNG up 40% and PNG 60% in two years

In the last two years, the price of CNG has increased by about 40 per cent and that of PNG by about 60 per cent. On April 4, 2020, CNG was getting Rs 59.50 per kg. Now you have to pay 83.80 per kg for this. Whereas PNG LPG was 29.50 SCM. Which has now become Rs 47 SCM.
