Mumbai. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde (Shinde’) said on Friday that there was no threat to him if Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government in the state. Commenting on NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s rebellion against his nephew Ajit Pawar, he said parties break up when hardworking workers are neglected.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, “Such things happen when hardworking party workers are ignored. Ajit Pawar himself has said that it was Sharad Pawar who first wanted an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2017, 2019, but later took a ‘U-turn’.
Sharad Pawar also rebelled against Sonia: Shinde
He also pointed out that Sharad Pawar himself rebelled against the then Chief Minister Vasantdada Patil in 1978 and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in 1999. Rejecting the speculation that he may be removed from the post of Chief Minister, Shinde said that these are baseless rumors and he is not worried about it.
Will win 45 seats in Maharashtra
He said that Shiv Sena and BJP led by him are bound by ideology. He said, “Now we have to work firmly together with the third ally and make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister again in 2024. We have to win more than 45 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra.
He said that Ajit Pawar has joined the government because of the development work being done by his government. Shinde said, “Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah made me the chief minister, and now with Ajit Pawar joining the government, we have become stronger. In the last one year, a lot of work has been done in the constituencies of our MLAs.
