Protesters were stopped at a distance, then ink was thrown at the police

London. On Wednesday, pro-Khalistan protesters created a huge ruckus outside the Indian High Commission in the UK capital London. However, this time the London Metropolitan Police had tightened the security there and placed barricades outside the High Commission. Because of this, these protesters could not reach the Indian High Commission. The police stopped them on the other side of the road at a safe distance from the High Commission. Enraged by this, these protesters tried to break the barricades and threw ink at the security personnel.

In the past, these protesters had taken down the Indian flag tricolor on the India House and broke the windows of the building during such a fierce demonstration. After this, these protesters had planned a similar protest on Tuesday as well, but the London police were already prepared for this today. Security personnel were brought here in 24 buses and mounted police were also deployed.

The Metropolitan Police reported that by late evening, around 2,000 protesters had reached the scene. During this, they tried to break the barricades and targeted the police with water bottles, ink and powder colours. Meanwhile, personnel hoisted a big tricolor on top of the Indian High Commission building.

Security has been tightened and barricades were put up near the Indian High Commission in London on Wednesday in view of plans for a protest by some groups. This step was taken in London after the removal of traffic barricades from outside the British High Commission in the Indian capital Delhi and the residence of the British High Commissioner.

Explain that after a video surfaced on social media of the tricolor being hoisted at the Indian High Commission in London being brought down during the protest by Khalistan supporters, India summoned the British Deputy High Commissioner on Sunday night and there was a ‘security’. When there was no system at all, an explanation was sought. Since that incident, several officers are patrolling there and Metropolitan Police vehicles are parked outside ‘India Place’.
At the same time, top British officials have said that the British government will take the security of the Indian High Commission ‘seriously’. He also condemned the vandalizing of the Indian High Commission by a group of protesters waving separatist Khalistani flags, terming it as ‘disgraceful’ and ‘completely unacceptable’.
