PM Narendra Modi arrived on his two-day visit to Kuwait on Saturday. During this, PM Narendra Modi attended the opening ceremony of the 26th ‘Arabian Gulf Cup’ at Jaber Al Ahmed International Stadium as the chief guest. Earlier, PM Modi addressed a large group of the Indian community in a special program ‘Hala Modi’ at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex in the city. During this, he praised the contribution of the overseas Indian community in global development and said that India has the potential to become the skill capital of the world.

While addressing the program, PM Modi said that hundreds of Indians visit Kuwait every year. When he talks to the top leadership of Kuwait, he praises the Indian people. Addressing the Indians, he said that you have filled the canvas of Kuwait with the colors of Indian skill. You have mixed the essence of India’s talent, technology and tradition in Kuwait. During this, he said that after 43 years an Indian Prime Minister has come to Kuwait. I have come not just to meet you but to celebrate your achievements. PM Modi earlier met Indian workers at the Gulf Spic Labor Camp and also had breakfast with them.

In fact, PM Modi reached the Gulf Spic Labor Camp on the first day of his two-day Kuwait visit. Here he met Indian workers. During this, PM Modi had breakfast with the workers. PM Modi also met translator Abdullah Baron and publisher Abdul Latif, who translated Ramayana and Mahabharata into Arabic in Kuwait city. After meeting PM Modi, Abdul Latif said that it is an honor for him to meet the Prime Minister. He said that these books are very important. During this, PM Modi also met 101-year-old former IFS officer Mangal Sen Handa.

Addressing the Indians here, PM Modi said that India is one of the first countries in the world to recognize Kuwait after independence. The country and society with which so many memories and our present are associated. Coming there is very memorable for me. I am grateful to the people of Kuwait and the government here. I especially thank the ruler here. During this, he said that the citizens of India and Kuwait have always helped each other in times of sorrow and crisis. During the Corona epidemic, both the countries have helped each other at every level.
