Morocco shaken by strong earthquake(Morocco) 

Rabat: About 151 people died in Morocco (Morocco)  late on Friday night due to a strong earthquake. A powerful earthquake of 6.8 magnitude occurred last night. The United States Geological Survey said it was the most powerful earthquake to hit that part of the North African nation in more than 120 years. Moroccan state television reported that several buildings collapsed due to the earthquake. Around 123 people died there. Many videos related to earthquake are becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which people are seen running.
Let us tell you that due to being located between the African and Eurasian plates, earthquake tremors are often felt in Morocco. In 2004, a strong earthquake shook El Hoceima in northeastern Morocco, killing 628 people and injuring more than 900. Apart from this, in the year 1980, there was an earthquake of magnitude 7.3 in Algeria, the neighboring country of Morocco, in which about 2500 people died and about three lakh people became homeless.
