Haryana Assembly Elections: Voting has started for Haryana (Haryana) Assembly Elections 2024. Votes are being cast today for a total of 90 assembly seats. Counting of votes will take place on October 8. For the Haryana elections, BJP has fielded candidates on 89 out of 90 seats. Congress has also fielded candidates on 89 seats. CPM is contesting on one seat. JJP-Azad Samaj Party alliance is contesting on 78 seats. Out of these, JJP has fielded its candidates on 66 seats, while 12 seats have been given to ASP. ILND is contesting on 51 seats. While it has given 35 seats to its ally BSP. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party has staked its claim on 88 seats. A total of 1031 candidates are in the fray in the Haryana assembly elections. Among them, 101 are women.
More than 2 crore voters
20,354,350 voters of Haryana will decide the fate of these candidates. Among them, there are 10,775,957 male voters and 9,577,926 female voters. The number of other voters is 467. 20,632 polling booths have been set up in the state for voting. Voters will not be able to take mobile phones with them during voting.

Result of the last election
In the 2019 assembly elections, BJP won 40 seats. The party’s vote share was 36.49%. Congress won 31 seats. Its vote share was 28.08%. JJP won 10 seats. The vote share was 14.80%. INLD got only one seat. The vote share was 2.44%. HLP i.e. Haryana Lokhit Party also got 1 seat. Its vote share was 0.66%. AAP could not win even a single seat. 7 seats went to independents.

In the 2014 assembly elections, BJP got 47 seats. Vote share was 33.2%. Congress got 15 seats. Vote share was 20.6%. INLD got 19 seats. Vote share was 24.01%. 5 seats went to independents.
