Vehicular traffic between the two states has been stopped due to water-logging on the highway connecting Telangana with the neighboring state of Chhattisgarh. The people living in the low-lying areas are in panic due to the continuous rise in the water level.

In Himachal too, pictures of devastation due to heavy rains are coming to the fore. Landslides are also being seen here amid heavy rains. Shimla-Kinnaur Highway has been blocked at many places. A large number of vehicles were stuck here due to the jam. Panic was witnessed in the night after the flood in Ani Bazar. Here the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. In Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain on Saturday.

The Meteorological Department also expressed the possibility of flood in Solan, Shimla and Sirmaur districts. Last night also, in many areas of Shimla, Kinnaur and Kullu districts, there was destruction due to landslides. Shimla-Kinnaur NH-5, which was closed for three days, was hit by a landslide in Chaura in the morning. It is raining heavily in many places in Uttarakhand as well.
