Dubai. Chennai Super Kings has won the title of IPL 2021. The team defeated KKR by 27 runs in the final. CSK won the IPL title for the fourth time and all under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. This was Dhoni’s 300th match as captain. With this, the team also avenged the defeat of KKR in the 2012 IPL final. Batting first, CSK made a huge score of 192 runs for 3 wickets. In reply, KKR’s team could only score 165 runs. CSK’s opener Faf du Plessis played a brilliant innings of 86 runs

Earlier, after losing the toss, Chennai Super Kings got off to a good start by Rituraj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis. Both added 61 runs for the first wicket in 8.1 overs. Rituraj scored 32 runs off 27 balls and was dismissed by Sunil Narine. After this, Robin Uthappa (31) showed fast hands. He faced 15 balls and hit 3 sixes. They also fell victim to Naren.
