New Delhi: A written order of Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court (court ) has arrived regarding the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in the Delhi liquor scam case, in which the court has accepted that the arrest of Sanjay Singh by the ED is not unreasonable or illogical. Is. During the hearing on ED’s demand for remand of Sanjay Singh, Rouse Avenue Court said that custodial interrogation of the accused seems necessary to find out clues. Let us tell you that Sanjay Singh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday after interrogating him for more than 10 hours and the court today i.e. on Thursday sent him to the custody of the central agency till October 10.
The Rouse Avenue court said that Sanjay Singh’s arrest was not unreasonable, as the ED has accused Sanjay Singh of being directly related to the receipt of crime proceeds of Rs 2 crore in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The court said that custodial interrogation of the accused seems necessary to unearth clues. Apart from this, custodial interrogation of the accused may also be necessary to confront Vivek Kumar Tyagi, Sarvesh Mishra and other persons.
The court said in its order that the interrogation of Sanjay Singh will be done at a place with CCTV coverage as per the guidelines laid down by the Honorable Supreme Court. The said CCTV footage will be preserved. The accused will be medically examined once every 48 hours. The accused will also be allowed to meet his lawyer. Lawyers Dr. Farooq Khan, Prakash Priyadarshi and Mohd. Irshad will be allowed to meet Irshad for half an hour daily between 6 pm and 7 pm during the above period of ED custody. ED officers could not hear their conversation.
The court further said that apart from this, the accused had to meet his wife Anita Singh and father D.K. He will also be allowed to meet Singh, that too for a period of half an hour every day. The blood pressure of the accused will be monitored twice a day and his diabetes level will be monitored once a day during his above mentioned ED custody period. Apart from this, the doctor is also being allowed to give his medicines to the accused.
