Lucknow. Political rhetoric has intensified once again before the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. After the founder of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, a ruckus has started in UP politics regarding Chandragupta Maurya. The Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath, accused the historians that he did not call Chandragupta Maurya great, but told the defeated Alexander as great. After this statement of Yogi, Asaduddin Owaisi has retaliated. Owaisi has described Hindutva as a factory of fake history.
Yogi said, ‘How history is distorted. Our history does not consider Chandragupta Maurya to be great. Who said great? Those who lost the battle to him. He is called Alexander the Great. A big betrayal has been done to the country. Yet historians remain silent. Because if the truth had come to the fore, the society would have stood up once again. Reversing this statement of Yogi, Owaisi said, in the absence of schools, Baba people create anything with their mind. Owaisi tweeted, ‘Hindutva is a fake history factory. Chandragupta and Alexander never fought. There was no war between them. Someone’s saying only explains why we need a good education system. In the absence of good schools, Baba people make up facts of their own mind and give it to them. Baba does not give importance to education and it is reflected in his statements.
Addressing a program in Lucknow on Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in history, Emperor Ashoka or Chandragupta Maurya was not described as great, but Alexander, who was defeated by Chandragupta Maurya, was described as great. Historians are silent on these issues because if the truth will come in the mind of the people of India, then India will stand again.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is building this country today. The talk about Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is happening on these issues.
