Chandigarh: The Haryana government ( government) led by Naib Singh Saini is going to give 100 square yard plots to the people of low income group. With this scheme of the government, the dream of two lakh people to have their own house will soon come true. An official statement said on Tuesday that the government led by Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini is preparing a blueprint for this scheme.
100 square yard plots will be available in villages
Under this initiative, eligible applicants without land will get 100 square yard plots in villages. Five lakh people have applied for plots in the state under the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme. The statement said that eligible beneficiaries will get 100 square yard plots in different phases. Two lakh people will soon get its benefit.
Housing Department Director General J Ganesan said that the main objective of the Rural Housing Scheme is to provide land plots to low-income families who do not have their own house. The successful implementation of the scheme will improve the living standards of poor families, allowing them to live a safe and dignified life in their homes.
CM Saini held a meeting last week
During the meeting, Ganesan also told the officials that all the processes related to the scheme should be expedited to ensure that the eligible people get its benefits as soon as possible. Last week, Chief Minister Saini held a meeting with senior officials in which Development and Panchayat Minister Krishna Lal Panwar and Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goyal were also present.
These facilities will also be available
In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that all the necessary facilities like paved roads, electricity, clean drinking water, street lights, parks and open green spaces should be ensured in the areas where 100 square yard plots will be allotted. According to the official statement, the government has also made a provision to assist the beneficiaries in building houses on these 100 square yard plots. Financial assistance will be provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) to help the beneficiaries build their houses.
During the meeting chaired by Ganesan, officials informed that 6,618 flats constructed by private developers for the EWS category will soon be allotted to applicants registered under the Mukhyamantri Urban Housing Scheme in eight districts under the first phase.
