Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a visit to Hyderabad. During this he inaugurated the statue of Sant Ramanujacharya and attended the Golden Jubilee celebrations of ICRISAT. Before joining the program of ICRISAT, PM Modi’s convoy was passing through the fields. Suddenly PM Modi’s eyes fell on the growing crops in the fields and stopped the car and went to the field.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stopped the car regardless of protocol and went to the field. PM Modi saw the gram crop growing in the field and then broke them and ate them. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi walked in the field for some time and then his convoy proceeded according to the prescribed protocol. Millions of people watched this video of PM Modi, available on social media, and users made various comments while taking a jibe.
PM Modi stayed in Hyderabad for about 6 hours on Saturday. PM Modi reached Hyderabad at quarter to three in the afternoon. The Prime Minister was received by state ministers including Governor Tamilisai Sundararajan. After the welcome at the airport, the Prime Minister directly reached the ICRISAT campus, where he inaugurated the 50th anniversary program of this institution.
After this, PM Modi arrived at around 5 pm to inaugurate the Statue of Equality. Here he inaugurated the 216 feet statue of Saint Ramanujacharya and addressed the public meeting. This idol has been described as the Statue of Equality i.e. a symbol of equality.
The 216 feet high Statue of Equality of the saint of Bhakti tradition Sri Ramanujacharya has been inaugurated on his 11th century. Saint Ramanujacharya promoted the idea of equality in various aspects of life, bhakti, caste and creed. He is known as a great saint and social reformer.
