Nuh. Congress MLA (Congress MLA ) from Firozpur Jhirka Maman Khan, accused in the violence case that took place in Nuh on July 31 in Haryana, has got regular bail. On Wednesday, the court of ADJ Ajay Kumar Sharma granted regular bail. For this the action continued for about 7 hours. There was a heated debate between the lawyers of both the sides.
In fact, about 15 days ago, the court of ADJ Ajay Kumar Sharma had granted interim bail to Congress MLA Maman Khan Engineer in case numbers 137 and 148. After this, hearing on regular bail was held on Wednesday.
Why was Maman Khan arrested?
There was violence in Nuh city on 31st July. On the same day, there was arson, looting and violence at Badkali Chowk, in which Congress MLA Maman Khan Engineer was interrogated by the police and then arrested in case numbers 137, 148, 149, 150. Maman Khan was also kept on remand for four days and had to go to jail, but about 15 days ago he got interim bail and came out of jail. After completion of the interim bail period, he was produced in the court at around 11 am.
Had reached court with brother
Maman Khan Engineer reached the court premises in his Fortuner car along with his gunman and his younger brother and from this time he remained in the court till 6 pm. Maman Khan’s lawyers and double AG argued before and after lunch, but had to wait till 6 pm to get bail. After the court’s decision, everyone from MLA Maman Khan Engineer to his lawyers were seen glowing and they congratulated each other. MLA Maman Khan expressed gratitude to his lawyers for getting regular bail.
MLA Maman Khan Engineer’s advocate Tahir Hussain Devla and Tahir Hussain Rupadia told the journalists that now Maman Khan has got surety bail if he says in the local language. He said that the police could not present evidence against Maman Khan MLA, due to which the court granted him bail.
