Communal tension in Jodhpur on the night before Eid

Jodhpur: A situation of communal tension arose in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on the night before Eid. There was a clash between the people of two communities over the flag and then there was fierce stone pelting in which three policemen including the police station and four journalists were injured. The situation got so bad that even the internet services here had to be stopped. All internet services are closed in Jodhpur from 1 pm onwards.

There was stone pelting for a long time near Jalori Gate of Jodhpur. It is being told that on the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti on the Jalori Gate circle, there was a fight between the two groups after removing the saffron flag and installing the Eid flag. The situation got so bad that even stone pelting started. The police also had to use force to bring the rioters under control. During this, the SHO, two constables and 4 journalists were injured. In view of the situation, a large number of police forces have been deployed.

The road has become a battlefield

Jalori Gate of Jodhpur became a battlefield last night. Herds of miscreants kept raining stones from the streets. These people dragged and put up barricades so that the people of the other side could be closed. Even some miscreants came armed with cold sticks and there was fierce stone pelting. During this nuisance, the barricading of bamboo poles installed around the park was uprooted. Some people started uprooting the loudspeakers installed here.

Fear of ruckus on Namaz, increased concern of police administration

The atmosphere is very tense regarding the violence that took place in Jodhpur last night. This is the reason why the concern has increased for the Rajasthan Police because Eid is also there and Namaz is also to be offered. Actually, Namaz is to be offered where this violence has taken place. Actually Idgah is at Jalori Gate intersection itself and a large number of people gather here to offer Namaz and Namaz is offered by blocking the road. How communal tension happened in Jodhpur

It is being told that some people had put up saffron flags in view of Parshuram Jayanti at Jalori Gate circle of Jodhpur. The other side removed those flags and put flags with Islamic symbols there. Both the sides came face to face regarding this matter and the tension increased so much that there was fierce stone pelting in the middle of the night. This ruckus had increased so much that even the police lost their sweat in controlling it. The police started wielding sticks but there was heavy stone pelting from both the sides. The police could hardly disperse the miscreants. There is tension in the area after this incident.
