New Delhi: The weather patterns are going to change in North India. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning saying that it is going to rain (rain ) in many states of North-West India till October 17. Whereas in Kerala and Tamil Nadu of South India, heavy rain will continue for two more days. A forecast of heavy rain has been issued in South Interior Karnataka today. An alert has been issued for light to moderate and heavy rain in some areas between October 19 in Andaman and Nicobar. Meanwhile, due to heavy rains in Kerala, normal life got disrupted as waterlogging was reported in many areas including the southernmost district of the state.
Rain water also entered the residential houses of many people, affecting daily life. According to IMD Thiruvananthapuram, “Thunderstorm and heavy rain have been predicted in the state till October 18. The Meteorological Department has today issued a yellow alert in nine out of 14 districts of the state. Yellow alert means heavy rain between 6 to 11 cm. Talking about today’s weather, according to Skymet Weather report, there may be light to moderate rain along with heavy rain at some places in coastal Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, southern coast of Karnataka and Kerala.
Light to moderate rain is possible over the western Himalayan hills along with light snowfall at higher altitudes. Scattered rain is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh, parts of Andhra Pradesh and South Telangana. Hail is possible in some parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. Light rain is possible over North Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, South Konkan and Goa and parts of Northeast India. Apart from this, there is no indication of any major change in the weather in other parts of the country for the next five days.
