Boom-boom on the road to Iraq( Iraq)

Baghdad: The fighting in Gaza is now spreading. There is a standoff between America and Iran amid tension in the Red Sea. Recently, three American soldiers lost their lives in a drone attack by an Iran-backed group in Jordan. After this, angry America started bombing rapidly. It has attacked dozens of targets of Iran-backed militias and Iranian ‘Revolutionary Guard’ in Iraq  ( Iraq) and Syria. Now there is news that a senior commander of Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah has also been killed in Iraq. Just as Iran’s General Qasim Sulemani was killed near Baghdad Airport four years ago, America has destroyed its enemy in a drone attack.

Where did Hezbollah come from in Iraq?
Kata’ib Hezbollah was born after the American attack on Iraq in 2003. America came to know that this terrorist group was responsible for the killing of its soldiers. A source told ‘Al Jazeera’ that on Wednesday night there was a powerful attack on a vehicle used by Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, in which three people were killed. Actually, PMF is a government security agency here which includes dozens of armed groups and many of them are close to Iran.

Abu Baqir is also in that car

Two officials of the Iran-backed group in Iraq have said that senior commander Abu Baqir al-Saadi was also among those killed in the blast in the eastern area of Baghdad. Kataib Hezbollah fighters and commanders are part of the PMF.

Iran and America face to face

In recent days, there have been several tit-for-tat style attacks in Iraq and Syria between Iran-backed armed groups and US troops deployed in the region. Tension is increasing in the region after Israeli action on Gaza in October. In January, a top militia commander was killed in central Baghdad in a US drone strike.

Iraqi Special Forces were on high alert in Baghdad on Wednesday. Additional security forces were deployed in the Green Zone housing international diplomatic missions, including the US Embassy. The US has warned Iran and its supporting ‘militias’ (civilian fighters) that if they continue targeting US forces deployed in West Asia, retaliation will continue. On the other hand, American and British forces continue to attack Houthi-occupied areas in Yemen. On the possibility of an attack inside Iran, America has clearly said that we do not want a large-scale war.
