Ambassador of Switzerland summoned

New Delhi. The matter of putting up anti-India posters in front of the United Nations building in Geneva, Switzerland has caught fire. The government took it seriously, after which India on Sunday summoned the Swiss ambassador in this matter and lodged a protest on the issue of ‘malicious anti-India’ posters in front of the United Nations building in Geneva. However, the Swiss Ambassador has assured to take the matter seriously. The Swiss Ambassador told the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) that he would convey India’s concerns to Switzerland in all seriousness.

A source said, “Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs today called on the Swiss Ambassador and raised the issue of baseless and malicious anti-India posters in front of the United Nations building in Geneva.” According to sources, “The Swiss Ambassador said that India Will put the concerns of Switzerland in front of Switzerland with all seriousness.’ The ambassador said that these posters do not support any kind of claims nor reflect the side of the Swiss government.

During this, the Swiss Ambassador said that the posters in Geneva are part of the space provided to all, but do not support the claims in any way nor reflect the position of the Swiss government.

Indian student shared the video
The incident came to light when an Indian student shared a video from outside the United Nations building in Geneva. According to media reports, ‘anti-India’ posters can be seen in this video. A video shot by an Indian student in Geneva is going viral. The student tweeted with the video and said- Large scale propaganda against India can be seen near UNHRC headquarters
