Two FIRs have been registered against Brijbhushan (Brij Bhushan )Sharan Singh, head of the Wrestling Federation of India. The police have registered one case under the POCSO Act and the other under sections of molestation. Let us tell you that while hearing the petition of women wrestlers, the Supreme Court had agreed to register an FIR against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Let us tell you that last Friday a complaint was given on behalf of 7 women wrestlers. One of these wrestlers is a minor. The wrestlers had moved the Supreme Court on Monday when the case was not registered. Exactly a week after the complaint, on April 28, the Solicitor General told the court that an FIR would be registered today. After this Delhi Police has registered 2 FIRs in different sections.
Police can record the statements of the victims
According to sources, now the Delhi Police will record the statements of all the victims. If needed, some statements can be recorded in front of the magistrate. After this, the police will try to collect evidence related to the statement. The place and city mentioned in the complaint will also be visited by the Delhi Police for investigation.
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh gave a big statement
After the court’s decision, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had said, ‘I welcome whatever decision the court has taken. I have faith in the decision of the Supreme Court and the investigation process of the police. Wherever my cooperation is required in the investigation, I will cooperate. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said in the Supreme Court, we have decided to register an FIR. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for the wrestlers, said that we are concerned on two grounds, number one, safety and security and second, there are 40 cases registered against the accused. I’ll give you the list. At the same time, the wrestlers have said that we do not trust the Delhi Police. She can file a weak FIR in this matter.
