New Delhi. The trend of unseasonal rains and storms seen in the states of the western region of the country in the last few days has now turned towards the states of the east. There is a possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in West Bengal, Sikkim and Jharkhand. While there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in West Assam, Odisha and Bihar. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in the next few days in many states across the country. Whereas in the meantime, there is a forecast of rain and thunderstorms in the western Himalayan region till March 14.
According to IMD, there is a possibility of rain in the southern states of the country from 15 to 17 March. The western trough in the middle troposphere is presently extending from North Bihar to South Karnataka. Which is passing through Telangana, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and North Karnataka. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of scattered rain and thundershowers in Rajasthan on March 13 and 14. Rain has been predicted in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad during March 12 and 13. There is a possibility of rain and thunderstorm in Himachal Pradesh on 13 and 14 March. On the other hand, between March 13 and March 15, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in West Madhya Pradesh.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rains in North Interior Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand from March 15 to 17. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature varied between 37-38 degrees Celsius at isolated places over Saurashtra and Kutch, southwest Rajasthan, Konkan and Vidarbha. Rest of West Rajasthan, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Coastal and North Interior Karnataka, Goa, Interior Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh recorded maximum temperatures between 35-37 degrees Celsius. The IMD has predicted heat wave conditions in isolated areas of Konkan and Saurashtra and Kutch on March 12.
