Heavy shortage of petrol and diesel in many areas of Pakistan

Islamabad. The economic condition of Pakistan is getting worse day by day. Here, from food items to petrol and diesel, they have become very expensive. In many places, the situation is so bad that petrol and diesel are not available even at an expensive price. On Tuesday, a similar sight was seen in Pakistan’s Punjab province, where long queues were seen at petrol pumps. According to the report of Pakistani news website Pak Observer, many petrol pumps in Punjab province have seen notices of petrol running out. At the same time, there is news of petrol being black in many places for up to Rs 400 a litre.

The situation in Pakistan has become so bad that people are being told to sell their kidneys to satisfy their hunger. Fearing retribution from the Taliban, an Afghan journalist who took refuge in Pakistan has said that Pakistan’s condition has become worse than Afghanistan and he wants to sell one of his kidneys to feed himself.

This journalist named Sami Jahesh tweeted that he has no food left at home and he is thinking of selling his kidney for money. He has also shared his picture and a WhatsApp number for those in need of kidney transplant.

Jahesh tweeted, ‘I have run out of money. We don’t even have bread to eat at home. I am in a country which is in worse condition than Afghanistan. I have no option left but to sell my kidney.
Decreasing foreign exchange reserves, nationwide power cuts, chaos and stampedes at government-run food distribution centers and a sharp fall in the Pakistani rupee within a year have put Pakistan in a position where it has to repay its international debt. It has become very difficult.
