Dumka. The matter of burning a teenager to death by sprinkling petrol in Dumka, the sub-capital of Jharkhand, was not yet settled that once again the city has become disturbed. A case of murder came to light after the rape of a teenager living in Raneshwar police station area of Dumka district. On Saturday, a case was registered at Mufassil police station on the statement of relatives. Relatives have complained against the accused of raping the teenager on the pretext of marriage and then killing her. In the case, the police have registered an FIR under the murder, rape and POCSO Act on the statement of relatives. The deceased belonged to the tribal community.
This is the second case within 10 days in Dumka, when a case has been registered for killing a minor and under the POCSO Act. Police recovered the body of a minor hanging from a tree in Shriamda of Digghi OP area of the district. Then the body could not be identified. After the post-mortem it has been revealed that the deceased was four months pregnant. After this, during the investigation, it came to light that she is a resident of Ranieshwar police station area and belongs to the tribal community. The police is also investigating deeply in this case keeping in mind the love affair. However, the police is now refraining from revealing anything in this matter.
The police has detained a youth named Armaan in this case. He is under interrogation. It is said that the teenager used to work as a laborer living with her parents in Dumka itself. Simultaneously, Armaan, a resident of Amdapara in Pakur district, used to work as a mason. During this, both of them became friends and then the friendship turned into love, the accused had sex with her several times on the pretext of marriage. The girl’s body was found hanging from a tree.
