new Delhi. North-West, East and Northeast regions of India may face heavy rains this week. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain in these areas during the next 4 days on Wednesday. Apart from this, a change was also seen in the weather of the capital Delhi. The minimum temperature here on Wednesday morning was recorded at 15 degrees Celsius, which was four degrees above normal. It was told on Wednesday that there may be partly cloudy sky in Delhi for the next two-three days.
According to the press release issued by IMD on Wednesday, light/moderate rain or snow may occur in Jammu-Kashmir-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh. After this, scattered rain/snowfall is expected in these areas for three days. Also, there may be scattered rain or snowfall at different places in Uttarakhand in the next four days.
The department informed that there is a possibility of light rain during the next 4 days in Punjab, North Haryana and Chandigarh and West Uttar Pradesh. Whereas, these weather-related activities can be seen in Delhi and East Uttar Pradesh on February 25 and 26. Also, scattered to widespread light/moderate rain is very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next five days. Also, there may be heavy rain in the area on February 27.
According to the IMD, isolated light or moderate rain and thundershowers may occur at isolated places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal and Sikkim on February 24 and 25. On the other hand, scattered to widespread rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during February 24 to 26.
