ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan is beginning to accept the truth that India is many times ahead of him. This is the reason that in a short span of time, he has praised India for the second time. At the opening ceremony of the Pakistan-China Business Investment Forum, Imran praised India’s IT sector from a public forum. The Pak PM said that the new technological revolution in the IT sector, where was India twenty years ago and today let’s see its export and see us.

Earlier, Imran Khan had also said at the inauguration ceremony of the Special Technology Zone ‘Technopolis’ in Lahore on December 27 that his country is far behind India in the IT sector. In this program, he praised the IT sector of India. According to the BBC report, the Pakistani PM said, ‘This is a very special occasion that we have gathered on the Pak-China Business Forum and it is special because it gives feedback to the government. This ferm is very important to help us understand what kind of difficulties are faced in the direction of trade and investment and what kind of facilities should be there.

Imran Khan said that in the last three years, I am getting a constant feedback. That is, we give incentives to the Chinese industry to come to our country, yet the time taken for investment, that is, from the agreement to the implementation, is too much. We all know that if time is running out for an investor then it is not the right investment for him. He said that the government is trying its best to remove those bottlenecks due to which it takes more time and we are also working continuously in this direction.

Khan further said, ‘It is a matter to understand that the wealth of the country cannot be created unless it is industrialised. It is very painful that from where the exports of small countries have reached, but we have remained there. How can a non-exporting country move forward? How can we move forward unless we sell things to the world? Even now we are selling vegetables, onions etc., so the country will not move forward.

While praising India, Imran Khan said that the new technological revolution, of IT, where was India twenty years ago in it and today let’s see its export and see us today. Attacking the previous governments, he said that we have youth and we have so much potential but it was never taken care of. Giving the example of China and Turkey to promote exports, Khan said that these countries have increased their exports in a very planned manner.
Regarding China, Imran said that it is a matter of great advantage for us that the country with the fastest growing economy of the world is our neighbor. We have a friendship with him for seventy years and the most important thing is that he is ready for any kind of cooperation. Taking a jibe at the previous governments, Khan said that our problem has been that we were never ready. In his address, the Pakistani PM also praised his government and its efforts. He said that when the term of our government started, first of all we tried to solve the old issues and bring stability. After that gradually worked towards making things better. He said that there is also a plan to visit China in the coming time. However, he did not specify any fixed date.
