Actually, the government can increase the salary of central employees again in the year 2022. According to sources, the fitment factor of central and state employees may increase at the beginning of the year. With the increase in fitment, the minimum wage of central employees will also increase.
In fact, there has been a long-standing demand of central and state government employees to increase their fitment factor from 2.57 per cent to 3.68 per cent. It is expected that the fitment factor of central employees can be decided before the budget to be presented on February 1, 2022. After this, the minimum salary of the employees will also increase.
The fitment factor of central employees can get approval from the Union Cabinet. After the approval of the cabinet before the budget, it can be included in the expenditure of the budget. But if it gets the approval of the cabinet, then there is no special need to include it in the budget draft.
If the fitment factor is approved, then there will be a bumper increase in the salary of the employees. In fact, increasing the fitment factor will also increase the minimum wage. At present, the employees are getting salary on the basis of 2.57 percent fitment factor. Now it is being considered to increase it to 3.68 percent. If this happens, then the minimum salary of the employees will be increased by 8 thousand rupees. That is, the salary received till now will increase to Rs 26000 by Rs 18000.
The government wants to implement the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission but is not in favor of increasing the minimum salary. The government can increase the fitment factor by 3 times. With the increase of fitment factor, the basic pay of the employees will increase from Rs 18000 to Rs 21000. He also got assurance in the meeting of the employees union with the cabinet secretary. If sources are to be believed, the government is now paying more attention to the fitment factor.
