‘India gave Buddha, not war’: Modi(Modi) 

Sydney: After Russia, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now on a visit to Austria. In Austria, PM Modi (Modi)  is addressing the people of the Indian community. Addressing the Indian community, PM Modi said that this is my first visit to Austria. The enthusiasm and excitement I am seeing here is amazing. After 41 years, an Indian PM has come here. He said that this wait has ended on a historic occasion. India and Austria are celebrating 75 years of their friendship.

‘Democracy connects India and Austria’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Geographically, India and Austria are at two different ends, but there are many similarities between us. Democracy connects our two countries. Freedom, equality, pluralism and respect for the rule of law are our shared values. Both our societies are multicultural and multilingual.” The world’s largest election concluded

Addressing the people of the Indian community, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Elections are going to be held in Austria after a few months, while in India we have just celebrated the festival of democracy with pride. The world’s largest election has been completed in India. More than 650 million people have cast their votes in that election.” He said that after 60 years, a government has got the opportunity to serve for the third consecutive time in India.

Sanskrit was taught in Vienna

The PM said that Sanskrit was taught in Vienna about 200 years ago. It got further boost with the establishment of an independent chair for Indology in 1880. He said, “Today I got a chance to meet some eminent Indologists, it was clear from their discussions that they were very interested in India. Today more than 150 Austrian companies are working in different sectors of India. Austrian companies are working in many projects. It is expected that in the coming time, companies here will expand in India.”

India is being discussed all over the world

Talking about the achievements of the country, PM Modi said that today India is being discussed all over the world. He said that India gave Buddha, not war, India always talks about peace and prosperity. India is the fifth economy of the world today. We will reach the top three. In 2014, India’s economy was at number 10. We will make India developed by 2047. Two new colleges are opened every day in India.
