It is noteworthy that the residents of Delhi have been facing severe cold for almost ten days. A thick blanket of fog extended from Punjab to Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and parts of Rajasthan. Due to this, visibility level was also getting affected at many places.

According to experts, this layer of fog was raised above the surface in Delhi and surrounding areas. Due to this, the level of visibility was not being affected much but due to the layer of fog present in the upper layer of the atmosphere, sunlight was not reaching the ground.
Therefore, people are facing severe cold. There was a slight improvement in this situation on Wednesday. The sun came out around 11 o’clock in the day and the temperature increased slightly compared to the day before.

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 15.2 degrees Celsius, which is four degrees less than normal. Whereas, the minimum temperature was 7.1 degrees Celsius which is the normal temperature at this time. The humidity level in the air ranged from 94 to 67 percent.
Jafarpur area of Delhi was the coldest. The maximum temperature here was 12.1 degrees Celsius. While the maximum temperature of Palam was 12.7 degrees Celsius and that of Narela was 13.7 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department estimates that the wind speed may be up to 15 km per hour on Thursday also.
