The incident took place on 27th October 2013 at 9.30 am. When there was a bomb blast in the toilet near the station. Through the smoke from this toilet, porter Dharamnath comes out carrying a young man on his shoulder. This young terrorist was Imtiaz, who was caught by Dharmanath after the bomb blast. Because of this Imtiaz, the secret of Gandhi Maidan and Bodh Gaya blast was revealed. If Imtiaz had not been caught that day, Mahavir Temple would also have been shaken by the blast.

After this incident, Coolie Dharmanath started receiving threats from Pakistan. Being the only witness to the entire bomb blast, he also received an offer of Rs 50 lakh from Pakistan. There were even attempts to kill him, but Dharmanath ignored everyone and approached the court for his safety. After the court order, bodyguard was provided to porter Dharmnath Yadav.
