According to the Meteorological Department, this will continue on Sunday also. Monsoon is currently active in the entire country. After a long wait, rain has again given relief to people in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. However, in states like Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain. Rain in some areas may also become a problem for people in the next four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, a monsoon trough is over Gujarat and Rajasthan. It extends east-south-eastwards to the north-eastern Bay of Bengal. Similarly, cyclonic circulation persists over south-east Madhya Pradesh and surrounding areas. It is inclined towards south with height. In such a situation, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in some districts of Madhya Pradesh and Bihar during the next 24 hours. Warning of heavy rain has been issued in four districts of Uttarakhand including Dehradun.
There will be rain in Gujarat and Rajasthan also
Even if late, monsoon rains have started in Punjab-Haryana. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains will continue in Western India including Rajasthan and Gujarat for the next few days. Heavy rain is possible at some places in eastern Uttar Pradesh today. Monsoon is currently active in the entire state. Apart from this, it was told that light to moderate rain at one or two places along with heavy rain at some places is possible in Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman-Nicobar Islands.
At the same time, light to moderate rain may occur in some areas in North-Eastern India including Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Marathwada, Central Maharashtra today.
