Sriharikota. ISRO has given big information about Chandrayaan-3. India’s mission has entered the Moon’s orbit. This achievement is also special because it was considered to be the most difficult phase. Now the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will try to get Chandrayaan-3 ‘soft landing‘ ( landing) on the lunar surface on 23 August. Early on August 1, the spacecraft achieved an orbit of 288 km by 3.7 lakh km through trans-lunar injection (TLI) and entered the Moon’s sphere of influence.
ISRO said in a statement, ‘Chandrayaan-3 has been successfully placed in the Moon’s orbit. The command for retro-burning on Perilune was completed from Mission Operations Complex (MOX), iSTRAC (ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network), Bengaluru. Perilune is the closest point of the spacecraft to the Moon.
ISRO said, the condition of the spacecraft is being continuously monitored from the Bangalore Mission Operations Complex and all the systems are working properly.
ISRO also told that the next operation of Chandrayaan-3 – orbit reduction – will be done on Sunday at 11 pm. ISRO also shared a message from the spacecraft to its mission centres, which read, ‘MOX, ISTRAC, this is Chandrayaan-3. I am feeling the gravity of the moon.
What next in ISRO’s Mission Moon?
Let us tell you that in three weeks since the launch on July 14, ISRO is taking the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft to orbits away from the Earth’s orbit. In this episode, tomorrow i.e. around 11 o’clock on Sunday night, this vehicle will complete the first round in the Moon’s orbit. In the first week of August, Chandrayaan-3 will gradually reach a distance of 100 kilometers from the moon, taking five to six rounds of the moon’s orbit. After this, during the next 10 days, the exact place of landing will be decided on the south pole of the Moon. After this, on August 23, at 5:47 pm, the Moon Lander will attempt a soft landing on the lunar surface.ISRO is very cautious about the Moon landing program keeping in mind factors like sunrise on the Moon. In such a situation, if necessary, the landing can be postponed till September. However, Chandrayaan-3 has been successful at every important stage in its journey so far and it is expected that ISRO, continuing its achievement, will successfully land Chandrayaan-3 on the lunar surface on time.
