New Delhi: The rainy(rain) season continues across the country. According to the India Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in the next three to four days in Northwest India. The affected areas including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may face possible flooding due to the low pressure area over Northeast Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, it is raining in the areas around the capital Delhi since late Friday night. The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of light rain here for the next two days.
According to the Meteorological Department, due to the expected heavy rains, there is a possibility of flash floods in some parts of Uttarakhand, Southeast Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, South Madhya Pradesh and Central parts of Southern Uttar Pradesh. The IMD said that thunderstorm with lightning has been predicted in isolated areas over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
