New Delhi. Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari ( Gadkari ) fiercely attacked the opposition unity during the town hall program . He said that the opposition parties are coming together because they are very weak. He realizes that he alone cannot defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party. Gadkari said that when a party becomes strong, the weak unite. When someone is weak, he tries to be with you. A coalition was formed against the Indira Gandhi government, but still she managed to win.
Nitin Gadkari said, ‘2+2 never equals 4 in politics. The work which the Congress could not do in 60 years, the BJP government under the leadership of PM Modi did in nine years. People are seeing development and will give a massive mandate. He also took a dig at the Congress for supporting the Aam Aadmi Party on the Delhi Ordinance. ‘Congress was opposing AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, but today they are supporting him on the Delhi ordinance. We are also involving people. There is nothing surprising in this. It is necessary to win to form the government. Every party strategically forges alliances to ensure its victory.
Demonstration politics the new normal
Nitin Gadkari said, ‘Politics is a game of compulsions, limitations and contradictions. Those who join us become like us. The character of our party is politics of conviction. We have been doing this since the time of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Whenever the Lok Sabha elections are held, the National Democratic Alliance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will get the mandate. Demonstration politics is the new normal. The politics of cash, caste and criminals is over.
What did Gadkari say on UCC?
The Union Minister also clarified his party’s stand on the issue of Uniform Civil Code. He said, ‘UCC is not against any faith. There should be one law for all. This is socially progressive thinking.
