Sydney: In the three-match ODI series between India and Australia, host Australia has already taken an unassailable lead in the series by winning both the opening matches. He will become the 25th Australian player to reach this milestone and also become the Australian player to reach 3,000 ODI runs in the fewest innings, breaking Steve Smith’s record. Travis Head has batted in 76 ODI innings so far, while Steve Smith reached his 3,000 ODI runs in 79 innings. Michael Bevan and George Bailey also appear on this list, having achieved this feat in 80 innings each.
