Asia Cup: In the second semi-final    ( final)   of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025, the Pakistani Shaheens defeated Sri Lanka A by 5 runs, securing a place in the final, where they will face Bangladesh A. Batting first, the Pakistan Shaheens scored 153 runs, while the Sri Lankans could only manage 148 runs.

Gazi Ghor top-scored for Pakistan with 39 runs. Muaz Sadaqat also scored 23 runs. Saad Masood scored 22 runs from 25 balls, including three fours. Ahmed Daniyal scored 22 runs from 8 balls, hitting three long sixes. It was thanks to these players that the Pakistani team was able to surpass the 150-run mark. For Sri Lanka A, Pramod Madhusudhan took four wickets for 29 runs in four overs, while Tarveen Mathews took three wickets. Apart from these two bowlers, the rest of the bowlers failed to make much of an impact and flopped badly.

Sri Lankan Batsmen Flopped
Chasing the target, Sri Lanka A got off to a good start with Vishen Halambage and Lasith Crospule, but neither player could convert them into big scores. Lasith scored 27 runs from 7 balls, while Vishen followed with 29 runs. Besides these two, Milan Rathnayake scored 40 runs from 32 balls, including five fours and a six. Besides these three, no other Sri Lankan batsman reached double figures, and the team was bowled out for 148. Sufyan Muqeem and Saad Masood took three wickets each for Pakistan A.

The final of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 will now be played between Pakistan Shaheens and Bangladesh A. The match will be played on November 23 at the West End Park International Stadium in Doha.
