IPL: The fifth match of IPL 2025 was played between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Punjab won this match by 11 runs. In his very first match for Punjab, Shreyas performed brilliantly and remained unbeaten after scoring 97 runs in 42 balls. During this, he batted at a strike rate of 230.95. He hit five fours and nine sixes. With this, the right-handed batsman made a big record in his name. He became the third batsman to score the highest while debuting as captain for any team. In the end, Shashank Singh played an unbeaten innings of 44 runs in 16 balls and Punjab managed to score 243 runs for the loss of 5 wickets after batting for the entire 20 overs.
Sai Sudarshan and Butler’s innings went in vain
On the other hand, Gujarat, who came to chase the target, had a very good start in this match. Sai Sudarshan came to open with Shubman Gill in this match. Both of them added 61 runs for the first wicket. Gill, who had got a good start in this match, was dismissed by Maxwell after scoring 33 runs in 14 balls. Jos Butler, who came to bat at number 3, shared a partnership of 84 runs with Sai Sudarshan.
