Ahmedabad: Law and order was strong on the occasion of Holi in Gujarat, despite this, the news of hooliganism in Ahmedabad, hit and run in Vadodara and rape of a 6-year-old girl in Surat has put a question mark on the police department. On this, DGP Vikas Sahaya has instructed the CPs and District Superintendents of Police of all the big cities of the state to make a list of goons in the next 100 hours. After the order of the DGP, the police in the entire state has come into alert mode.( alert mode)
Take strict action against goons
DGP Vikas Sahay held a meeting with all the Police Commissioners, Range Chiefs and Superintendents of Police through video conference. In the meeting, instructions have been given to deal strictly with the goons. The DGP has ordered to prepare a list of anti-social goons in police station areas across the state within 100 hours. This list will include the names of those who repeatedly commit physical crimes, extortion, property related crimes, illegal trade of drugs and gambling, mineral theft and those who create an atmosphere of fear in the society. The DGP has ordered strict action against the goons.
Gujarat Police ready for bulldozer action
The DGP has also asked to investigate and take strict action against illegal construction, electricity connections, financial transactions of banks done by goons and take strict action against them like PASA and exile. All police officers have been asked to follow these orders and ensure quick action. After the list of goons is prepared, bulldozer action can be taken on the illegal properties of anti-social elements by the concerned district administration and corporations. The police has taken strict action against the henchmen of Bhavsar gang who openly indulge in hooliganism in Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, bulldozer action has been started in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
