India Wins the Series 3-1    ( Series 3-1)   

Ahmedabad: The Indian team secured a 30-run victory in the final match of the 5-match T20 series against South Africa, played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, thereby clinching the series 3-1.      ( Series 3-1)   After losing the toss, India batted first and, thanks to brilliant half-centuries from Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma, managed to score 232 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, the South African team got off to a great start, but due to losing wickets consistently in the middle overs, they could only manage to reach a score of 201 runs in 20 overs. This is India’s 7th consecutive bilateral series win in this format since the T20 World Cup 2024.

When the South African team came out to chase the target of 232 runs in the final T20 match against India, the opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks provided a very quick start, taking the score to 67 runs in the first 6 overs. India got their first breakthrough when Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Reeza Hendricks for a personal score of 13. Following this, Dewald Brevis, who came in to bat, did not let the run rate slow down, forming a 51-run partnership for the second wicket with Quinton de Kock in just 23 balls. Jasprit Bumrah broke this dangerous partnership for India by dismissing Quinton de Kock for a personal score of 65. From this point onwards, the South African team’s wickets fell rapidly, with half the team back in the pavilion by the time the score reached 135. This included the wicket of South African captain Aiden Markram, who was dismissed after scoring just 6 runs. The South African team managed to reach a score of only 201 runs in their 20 overs. For Team India, Varun Chakravarthy and Jasprit Bumrah were the standout bowlers. Chakravarthy took 4 wickets for 53 runs in his 4 overs, while Bumrah claimed 2 wickets for just 17 runs in his 4 overs. Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya also managed to take one wicket each.

For Team India, Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya displayed exceptional batting performances in this match. Tilak, who batted at number three, played a brilliant innings of 73 runs off 42 balls, while Hardik Pandya showed an aggressive approach with the bat, scoring 63 runs off just 25 balls. In addition, Sanju Samson scored 37 runs and Abhishek Sharma contributed 34 runs.
